Set Designer

Roger is a Set Designer and Architect. Since 2010, he has been part of various artistic groups, participating in theater productions, musical shows, concerts, TV and social media commercials, and music videos. This facet of his career has led him to specialize in art direction, graphic arts, production, set design, and props. His impressive trajectory as a set designer includes iconic projects in Costa Rica’s main theaters. Among his most notable works are: Design and construction for «In the Heights» at Teatro Melico Salazar (2025), «The Magic Flute» for the Lyric Company at Teatro Nacional (2024), «Little Women» at Teatro Nacional (2023, remounted in 2024), «More than Magic» at Teatro Melico Salazar (2023) and CIC Ande (2024), «Not Suitable for Adults» at Teatro Melico Salazar (2022), «You’re on Mute» at Teatro Espressivo (2021), and «World Hopping» for Kuo Spa at Marriott Costa Rica (2019), among others. His multidisciplinary approach allows him to design and build spaces that not only meet technical and functional requirements but also convey emotions and create memorable experiences for the audience.
